Her hair was up in a pony tail, her favorite dress tied with a bow. Today was Daddy's Day at school, and she couldn't wait to go. But her mummy tried to tell her, that she probably should stay home. Why the kids might not understand, if she went to school alone. But she was not afraid; she knew just what to say. What to tell her classmates of why he wasn't there today. But still her mother worried, for her to face this day alone. And that was why once again, she tried to keep her daughter home. But the little girl went to school eager to tell them all. About a dad she never sees. A dad who never calls. There were daddies along the wall in back, For everyone to meet. Children squirming impatiently, anxious in their seats. One by one the teacher called a student from the class. To introduce their daddy, as seconds slowly passed. At last the teacher called her name, every child turned to stare. Each of them was searching, a man who wasn't there. 'Where's her daddy at?' She heard a boy call out. 'She probably doesn't have one,' another student dared to shout. And from somewhere near the back, she heard a daddy say, 'Looks like another deadbeat dad, too busy to waste his day.' The words did not offend her, as she smiled up at her Mom, and looked back at her teacher, who told her to go on. And with hands behind her back, slowly she began to speak. And out from the mouth of a child, came words incredibly unique. 'My Daddy couldn't be here, because he lives so far away. But I know he wishes he could be, since this is such a special day. And though you cannot meet him, I wanted you to know all about my daddy, and how much he loves me so. He loved to tell me stories He taught me to ride my bike. He surprised me with pink roses, and taught me to fly a kite. We used to share fudge sundaes, and ice cream in a cone though you cannot see him. I'm not standing here alone. 'Cause my daddy's always with me, Even though we are apart I know because he told me, He'll forever be in my heart' with that, her little hand reached up, and lay across her chest, feeling her own heartbeat, beneath her favorite dress. And from somewhere here in the crowd of dads, her mother stood in tears. Proudly watching her daughter, who was wise beyond her years! For she stood up for the love of a man not in her life, doing what was best for her, doing what was right. And when she dropped her hand back down, staring straight into the crowd. She finished with a voice so soft, But its message clear and loud. 'I love my daddy very much, he's my shining star. And if he could, he'd be here, but heaven's just too far. You see he is a soldier and died just this past year when a roadside bomb hit his convoy and taught us all to fear. But sometimes when I close my eyes, it's like he never went away.' And then she closed her eyes, and saw him there that day. And to her mother’s amazement, she witnessed with surprise. A room full of daddies and children, all starting to close their eyes. Who knows what they saw before them, who knows what they felt inside. Perhaps for merely a second, they saw him at her side. 'I know you're with me Daddy,' to the silence she called out. And what happened next, made believers, of those once filled with doubt. Not one in that room could explain it, for each of their eyes had been closed. But there on the desk beside her, was a fragrant long-stemmed rose. And a child was blessed, if only for a moment, by the love of her shining star and given the gift of believing, that heaven is never too far. I can't believe how the time flies, this time two years ago I was carrying Keelie inside my belly, this time last year I was carrying her in my arms and now I walk beside her holding her hand, I'm excited for this Halloween and Christmas now that she's going to understand more about the holidays :) I have ordered her and my costumes.. Also this will be the first year she will actually be able to play in the snow and enjoy it. :)

So I haven't posted in awhile which I'm sorry for but we have had alot going on in our wonderful life :) I am now working for the range center and love my job, I have been there for 6 months, our lovely little keekaboo turns 2 next month!! Can you believe it! The time has been flying by and every moment with my beautiful daughter is precious to me! She is a very talkative little lady I must say :) and sassy at that. She does have her best friend his name is Buzz, he is our ten month old great Dane husky puppy (I bet you could guess where Keelie picked that name from) they are inseparable :) I will slowly but surely add pics and stories about our fantastic summer to give a little glimps into our life :)

Keelie's new best friend :) Its buzz of course. We recently added a new addition to our little family as you can see he is adorable!!

We got him from the Hibbing Animal Shelter I fell in love the second i seen his little puppy face. Keeker and him love each other so much :)

He is about 5-6 months old male. He is almost fully potty trained now too :)

All the Kids had a blast there were quite a few other kids there and a little boy wearing a buzz light year shirt who she made her best friend :)

We had a nice little visit with Papa the other morning, Kee got to wear her new outfit and adorable shoes. And of course the dogs all have to sniff her out and that big bad mean bird doesn't like us ;) but it was still fun.. Kee really wanted to just torment those dogs but Lola didn't want anything to do with her.. I mean whats better than having our ears pulled and slobbered on along with getting pinched and hit :) She didn't want to take her eyes off her and of course Lola Had to tease her and lay and stretch just out of Kee's reach ha ha

Our favorite thing to do was play with Papa's glass table it really was the coolest thing :)

On Saturday Josh and I brought Kee to the fair. She loved looking at all the people but sadly enough none of the animals wanted to play with us, but we did get a few close enough for a picture!

Can you believe how fast those 9 months have flown by! I used to be able to just hold her in my arms why she napped. How blessed I am that she has been sleeping threw the night sense two weeks old.. Now we are chasing her around the house! Mann that girl can crawl! She always has a new surprise instore for us. Happy nine months Baby Love!!

So Mama finally got around to buying a computer and getting the Internet set up in the new house! oh and by the way we moved! We are no longer in that tiny little garage apartment in that horrid alley! We are renting a cute little house in a quieter part of town! Yay! I know.. So our little girl is growing up fast we have two teeth on the bottom we are a rocket when we crawl and are still loving the rolling method for transportation! We surprised Mom by standing up in our cribby once already and our latest thing is Toy Story 1& 2! We watch those movies about ten times a day so I'm sure auntie and I could replay the script word by word ha ha well there is allot of exciting things happening around here Mama starts college on the 23rd and yes I have been accepted to the Police Academy at HCC, So it has been a busy house hold!

So today was the day I decided to do the tree so Grandma Jolene lent us her Christmas tree (thanks a ton this year she decided to get a real one) and she came and set it up for me. The directions are goofy I guess! So after it was up to me to fluff it and decorate it in which I recruited Mom and Nikki over to help I didnt realise how difficult the stupid lights were to put on I'm sure they got plenty of laughs at me today tho! Thanks for all you help Keelie loves to look at it!

Little Keelie has had a tummy ache all day, not even the car ride could put her to sleep. Although she is doing better now I don't think anything made her feel better than her best friend Teddy did. She cuddled with him for a good hour or so venturing through dream land together in Mommy's arms. She held him so tight that you would think she was stopping him from running away! But I do know why she missed Teddy so much because Mommy didn't send him with to auntie Sarah's last night...

My Little Miss Keelie is three weeks old today! I can't believe it the time is just flying. Everyday is new experience for us. We have got to witness her first smiles and giggles, it feels like just yesterday that it was Halloween and I brought her home from the hospital and was scared to death to spend our first night alone.(but thanks to Auntie Alley our first night alone wasn't so soon) I think I got up a hundred times to check on her in her crib, just to make sure she was okay :) Our actual first night alone together was about a week later and I still got up to check on Keelie like I still do to this day! I love my little baby. Happy three weeks Baby Girl!

I couldn't help but put Keelie in this adorable little outfit! I thought it was the cutest thing, but she got back at Mommy by filling her diaper a little to much and soiling it but that's alright because I got to enjoy her in it for a couple hours and got tons of pictures..

Today we had to go back to the audiologist to have Little Miss Keelie's hearing tested again because in the hospital she only passed in one ear. She did very well on the test but wasn't really liking when that mean lady would shove those plugs in her ears! :) I think the picture explains how she felt about that!

Today was our first time in the big girl tubby! Keelie was really good about it.. :)

We kept the same puzzled look on our face the whole time

She wasn't to sure about it at first but it didnt take her long to relax and enjoy it!

I think tubby time wore her out a little bit...

As soon as she was all lotioned up and dressed she passed right out.

Keelie Spent sometime at grandma Jo's house yesterday while Mommy ran some errands and took a nap from not feeling well looks like little Keelie took advantage of nap time with grandpa! Adorable!

Today Keelie gets to sport a whole lot of pink and the adorable knitted hat she got from the kind ladies at the hospital..

She actually sat still for me to change her diaper and clean her cord. She was way to amazed by that soft pink teddy..

Miss Keelie and I visited Auntie Sarah this morning, we got to do a mini photo shoot so that we can get some birth announcements made. Isn't she just a doll. I can't get over how beautiful she is, it still just feels like a dream. I love holding my daughter and just talking to her. That nine months of her being inside me seemed to have flown by. I don't think I would change anything about all of this time if I could because clearly everything happens for a reason, I got the best prize of all from this whole experience and that would be Little Miss Keelie.

This morning Keelie got to wear another one of her adorable little outfits to go spend the day with Grandpa Roger and I. She was lucky enough that she got to meet her Great-Grandpa Ron when we stopped to say hi to Grandma Jo. I thought Keelie would have to wait til the 22nd to meet more of her Daddy's family. He seemed just happy that we were there and that he got to hold her. (picture of Ron and Keelie far right)

We spent a couple hours visiting Grandpa Roger and the puppies, I was amazed she slept threw the first initial barking! I was excited for Keelie and I to spend the morning with Grandpa and the puppies.

So yesterday Was the first day that Little Miss Keelie got to meet her future bestie Evan! He seemed a little more excited than she did but I'm sure it was because she was tired...

Its adorable how much bigger than her he is...

Cassie and I are almost the same in age difference as these to are, I cant wait to get more pictures of these two together.

What a cute baby giraffe! Only 2 days old but little Miss Keelie had to get all dressed up in her costume to be released from the hospital and go meet Grandpa Roger for the first time, Josh and I sat and visited with Mom and Dad I was so happy that Grandpa finally got to meet his first grand-daughter.

Daddy also decided to sport some makeup for the holiday, They looked so cute together The joker and his baby giraffe!

I cant get over how precious she is, I have to admit this is the best Halloween ever. Although she is way to young for trick-or-treating she did get to spend the day with Mommy and Daddy visiting the Grand Parents.

After a very interesting 9 months my baby girl has been born. On October 30, 2009 at 1:30 am Keelie Jo Pride was welcomed into the world.

Her very proud Daddy, Josh, was there to hold my hand and coach me threw this amazing experience, he even took the mean comments like a champ ;) I have to say she is the most beautiful little angel and I'm sure Daddy would agree.
